June 2, 2008: Greetings Peeps! Well it looks like all of my patience finally paid off. I’m now enjoying my new forever home! I know my new mom will spoil me like she does her other 2 buns, otherwise my foster mom wouldn’t have let her adopt me. I have already bit her once, but that was just so we establish a little understanding, ya know. I have to uphold my “little bun” status. Anyway, thanks for reading about my adventures in foster care since last year. I’m home, I’m home!!!

June 1, 2008: I am currently ADOPTION PENDING! Yippee!!!

UPDATE: 5/23/2008
So it’s now almost Memorial Day and I’m STILL HERE!!! What gives humans? Well, I just wanted to let you know that I’m coming a long way in foster care. I’m still very territorial about my abode and my things being touched, but I’m doing great when I’m outside of my cage. I will now seek out pets and lovins’ from my foster mom. In fact, I actually love it (but don’t tell her). And if she stops, I’ll put my front paws right up on her and beg for more. My litter box habits are almost 100% when I’m out playing too. Occasionally I’ll leave a few “pebbles”, but that’s just to let you know I’ve been there. But again, that’s not too often. I’m thinking I might do very well as a free range bun in one room and I’m thinking my foster human agrees with that. Of course if you want to give me more than one room, I’m fine with that too. But you have to be careful, because I do like to be underfoot. I love to run around and then kick out my back thumpers when I’ve tired. I have also started doing a lot more binkies. For those of you that don’t speak lagamorph, that’s bunny for happy dances. Oh this is the life peeps! But, I still need a forever home! SO PLEASE CALL :)

Okay peeps, listen up! Seriously now… I’ve been in foster care since last August, I believe. And while the accommodations are that of a 4-star bunny abode, the food is excellent, and I get all the TLC I deserve, I REALLY NEED A HOME! This fostering thing just isn’t cutting it for me anymore. I need a human slave that I can call my own for the rest of my life!
My name is Sweet Pea, but I’ve been referred to as Pea and T-Rex. I’ll answer to anything, as long as there are banana chips or dried cranberries involved. I get free-fed pellets because I’m so tiny, yet I still manage to keep my girlish figure. I’m only 1.5 pounds, aren’t you jealous? I love my greens and will eat just about anything that’s put in front of me. Although I’m not too fond of those stalky things that are attached to the parsley. Why eat those when I can eat the leafy parts? My favorite is kale!
I’m a little spitfire who loves to explore my surroundings and I really have no fears of the unknown. My litter box habits are pretty good, but they’re even better when I’m out playing. Yeah, I know, I can’t explain either. I love to chew on my willow baskets and empty paper towel rolls that my foster human has provided me with. My favorite thing to do is to chew on the “Vacation Villa” while I’m playing in it. I’ve perfected the hardwood floors and the rugs just give me better traction to run from my foster human when she’s trying to put me in my cage. Ha! I show her! I may run a bit funny, but it certainly doesn’t slow me down.
Now, here’s the thing. I can only be adopted to a bunny experienced adult home or a home with older children, as I do have a tendency to bite when you intrude into my abode. I think my foster human calls it “cage aggressiveness” or something like that. However, her and I have worked out our differences and she’s learned to deal with my “cage ‘tude” just fine. I just don’t like my things being touched, that’s all. I’m not really fond of being picked up, so take note of that too. But I guess I’m not all that different than most lagomorphs. We just prefer all four paws on the ground. When I’m in my abode, I like a nice soft blanket to lay on, so make sure you have plenty of those too, when I come home.
Well, I guess that’s all for now. Hopefully next time I write, I’ll be giving you an update on what it’s like to have a forever home. If you’re interested in adopting me or to find out more about me, please call the Hotline at 781.431.1211 or email info@rabbitnetwork.org and a human will get back to you.
