Volunteer Week is April 15th to the 21st. This is the time when volunteers from all over the country are recognized for working on behalf of others, and a great time to do a little volunteering if you have not already done so.

It’s the perfect time to help the House Rabbit Network if you live in the area or another rabbit rescue in your area. Volunteering gives us an opportunity to help rabbits in need and make the world a better place for us and for the four-pawed fuzzies that rely upon us.

To those of you that are HRN volunteers and foster homes, I want to thank you for all of your time, energy, expertise and resources. Without you, we would not be able to do what we do. YOU are the ones that make it a better place for the bunnies and give them the voice they so rightly deserve. YOU are the ones that help keep this organization running. Though we are just individuals, the work we do as a group, helps us acheive our goals: To rescue homeless rabbits and find them good indoor homes and to educate the public about rabbits and their care.

If you can spare an hour or two or more next week, next month or in the next year :), the House Rabbit Network rabbits would greatly appreciate it. If you can help a foster home with cages, help at an Education Day, help with fundraising or just come and sit with the bunnies to socialize them, it would help.

In the next few weeks, we will be holding Education Events. If you’ve never done one or not sure if it’s for you, just stop on by and check it out. What could be better than talking about bunnies for a few hours?

Thank you for all you do!
